GC University Lahore, a historical university, a blend of old and modern traditions, is situated in the center of Lahore. The university I always dreamt of—the university from where notable scholars, writers, noble laureates, politicians, and bureaucrats graduated. I completed my master’s for GCUL. Now I’m a proud Ravian.

Negatives of GC University Lahore
1. Hostel facilities
Hostel facilities are limited in GCUL. It has no hostel for Masters and MPhil students. Accommodation is available only for BS students. Just one hostel, for boys and girls each, is not enough. Many students have to live in expensive private hostels. The private hostels are not only expensive but also far from the university.
2. No cleanliness
GCUL has no proper cleaning system. No one pays attention to cleanliness. All the classrooms are full of dirt. It seems that the windows have not been cleaned for decades. Whenever high profile visit is expected, the university administration suddenly orders cleaning of the departments but the classrooms remain dirty as before.
3. High fees
GC University is a semi-public university with a higher fee structure than purely public universities and less than private universities.
4. Medium-sized university
According to HEC, GCUL is a mid-range university. Unlike large universities, not many departments or educational programs are taught here. For example, it offers a master’s in Chemistry and Botany but not in Zoology.
Because of this, many students who want to be part of this institution get frustrated.
5. Multiple Campuses
GCUL is divided into multiple campuses. One of its campus named ‘’Kalashakaku Campus’’ is far away from the main campus.
Conclusion
GCUL is worth taking admission in. When you become a student of GCUL, You will get the tag ‘’Ravian’’. This tag is entitled to every GCUL student. Every GCUL graduate is proud of Ravian. Once a Ravian always a Ravian.
